Star Wars/Frozen Fall Sales Event
Huge franchises, huge entertainment value.
Since Twitch Sells Out broke all kinds of sales records, Disney wanted to try their own version. In the lead-up to the Christmas releases of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker and Frozen II, Twitch asked Butcher Bird Studios to develop an engaging sales event specifically for their audience. Again, we utilized the Twitch Blacksmith extension to drive sales traffic, but also to engage our audience with polls.

And a key aspect of interactivity is that it is only one-part technology; the other part is fan service. And we delivered this in spades, designing and building out a Start Wars-themed cargo ship set in one corner of our Glendale studio, and a Frozen-themed winter wonderland set in another. With two engaging hosts, the event kept the chat feed entertained and engaged for a full four hours, covering everything from arcane Star Wars trivia, to charming antics with Olaf the magical snowman.
