It requires the creative muscle to develop an original, fun story, plus the back-end post-production and coding capabilities to tie the pieces together. Fortunately, Butcher Bird Studios answered the call. The result was the wacky tale of a desperate cat who must traverse Los Angeles in cross-town traffic…in order to get to the litter box in time. With four different endings—based entirely on choices made along the way—the project had a spectacularly high replay value. And yes, we brought in a REAL trained cat to be our star.

Eko’s next challenge was to translate the ridiculously popular online quizzes that BuzzFeed has pioneered over the last decade into interactive, choice-based video. Again, Butcher Bird Studios drew upon its vast creative and technological experience to develop five fun and informative offerings for the BuzzFeed audience. Each of these featured charismatic actors bringing lifestyle subjects to life, and therefore exponentially increased engagement. And of course, each is designed for replayability, pushing more eyeballs and clicks back through the experience for different results.
