STEVEN CALCOTE was birthed in the badlands of Texas but soon left for the much bluer territories of New England. There he trained in the the art of guerilla filmmaking, interactive technology development, and Mandarin Chinese. But the real adventures began as he came of age in China, where he shot his first television commercials and starred in a Beijing-based soap opera as "The Foreign Devil." Despite several close calls, he has continued his directing exploits on multiple continents with clients ranging from Sega to Adidas, for whom his work won the Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Award.
